Just had a store meeting 2 weeks ago. Same old bullshit. More managers and the GM's doing less in the store. No teamwork due to scrimping on hours, store shelves dusty as hell, and no maintenance of the store. Basically they spend a dollar to save a penny Unfortunately most of the associates who gave a shit have either quit or been fired.

Pencils has just completed major store restructuring with massive layoffs of full timers and managers. I'm not sure how they managed to keep it from the press. They seemed to have mostly adbandoned the "JIVE" program, in favor of, once again, hammering customers about worthless computer work and extended service plans. They're running customers away in droves, they will never figure it out...they are doomed.

ReplyDeletePotential new scam on Pencils associates. Pencils is forcing associates to to either direct deposit their paycheck or have it put on a pay card. I smell class action lawsuits. McDonalds has been sued over the pay card issue because of ridiculous fees charged against the employees pay cards

ReplyDelete25 hours a week MAX for part timers. It's absolute BULLSHIT. Store shrink going up because the real team work concept died years ago. It's all pile on the closers of office supplies and tech.
